The Lien Law Firm, LLC, including its website at www.lienlawfirm.com (hereinafter referred to as the “Firm,” or with first person pronouns including but not limited to “I,” “We,” “Our,” or “Us.”) is serious about protecting your online privacy. This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as “policy”) explains our views and practices concerning the privacy of any visitors to and/or users of our website and other online business platforms (hereinafter referred to with second person pronouns including but not limited to “You” and “Your”).

SECTION 1 – What we do with your information

When you request something from our site, we collect the personal information needed to fulfill and support your request. This includes your requests for no-cost resources and purchases of products and/or services. Your information is stored within our secure business management systems.

It is our intention to communicate with you about new products, programs, and/or services, both available for purchase and available at no-cost.

SECTION 2 – Consent

By using this website, you represent that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use our website.

By submitting your personal information to the Firm, you give us permission to communicate with you by email, phone call, text message, U.S. Mail, and any other medium for which you provide us with the information.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by clicking on an “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of every promotional email we send. SECTION 3 – Disclosure

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service. Also, if our site is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that they may continue to sell and support our products and services.

We do not sell or distribute your information for profit or promise of profit to any third parties including but not limited to advertisers and other business entities.

SECTION 4 – Data Storage

Our shopping cart and payment portals are hosted and managed by Kartra, Calendly, and MyCase (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Platforms” or singularly as “Platform”). They provide us with online e-commerce platforms that allow us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through the platforms’ data storage and databases which are on secure servers behind firewalls.

Payments: If you ever choose to complete your purchase by paying online, then each platform encrypts your data in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by the Firm and our vendors. Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. At no time in the routine course of business is your payment information displayed or made available to individual agents of the Firm. At no point during your online transaction does the Firm take custody of or store your credit card information. These processes are managed by the platforms. (See Section 5 for more information)

SECTION 5 – Third party vendors and services

In general, our third-party vendors and providers will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. However, third-party service providers, such as payment gateways, have their own privacy policies. The Firm works with vendors and service providers that may be located in or have facilities that are located a different jurisdiction than either you or us. If you elect to proceed with a transaction through the Firm, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

For example: If you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

SECTION 6 – Security

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow our industry’s best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

SECTION 7 – Cookies

The Firm utilizes cookies to create a more customized experience for our users and clients. We also use tracking pixels (i.e. Google Analytics) to aid in measuring and tracking where our website traffic is coming from and to track the performance of our site and remarking pixels from Facebook to aid in customized, targeted follow-up advertising.

SECTION 8 – Changes to this policy

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. If we make material changes to this privacy policy then we will notify you of those changes on our website. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting.
