Rachna Lien, Esq.
Rachna is dedicated to helping people access the tools the legal system has to offer in settling disputes and overcoming challenging situations. She started The Lien Law Firm, LLC to offer her professional guidance and assistance to those needing a lawyer who is compassionate, flexible, and experienced.
For the first 6 years of her career, Rachna founded and directed Jane Doe Advocacy Center, a non-profit legal service center for survivors of sexual violence. She helped survivors navigate the legal aftermath of sexual abuse, focusing her work in family court. She also coached individuals through the criminal justice system as they participated in the prosecution of their perpetrators. During her time at Jane Doe, Rachna helped more than 600 individuals who had legal questions relating to sexual abuse. Her professional history also includes facilitating adoptions of children in foster care and representing adults and children at hearings for Social Security Disability benefits.
Over the years, Rachna has seen first hand how the legal system can help in difficult life situations. She has also seen how a lack of competent legal help can lead to undesirable results that no one deserves to face. She is fueled by her desire to ensure that everyone has access to help through the legal system, no matter how simple or complicated a situation may be. Rachna strongly believes that every legal process, from simple documents to complicated litigation, deserves strong advocacy, attention to detail, and a practical outlook.
Now, Rachna focuses on working with clients who want to help themselves. She sees her role in the legal system as a facilitator who helps individuals make the best decisions for them. When possible, Rachna tries to minimize financial burdens by offering workshops and coaching sessions that teach individuals how to represent themselves in court. For those who do not want to represent themselves, she is ready to step in and litigate to help clients achieve their long-term goals.
Outside of work, Rachna enjoys spending time with her husband, Ben, and their cat, Nala. She grew up in a small, rural town in the the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Ever since coming to St. Louis as a college student, she could not imagine living and working anywhere else.
